Delaware Valley 8th Grade Spring Football League
Rules
The Football league is for 8th grade players who intend to continue to
play football in High School. The goal of the league is to form teams of
approximately 25 to 30 players to allow for ample playing time for the
players.
Games will be played under High School Rules officiated by High School
referees.
The game clock will be a 15 Minute running clock. This is defined
as:
The clock will stop on incomplete passes and out of bounds. It is
restarted as soon as the ball is set on the line of scrimmage.
Time Outs are for 30 seconds and then the clock is restarted unless
it is taken in the last 4 minutes of the 2nd or 4th quarters.
The clock is stopped normally during the last 4 minutes of the 2nd
and 4th quarters.
Each team is given 3 Time Outs per half.
Scoring is the same as High School. Touchdowns 6pts,2 pointS for a
kicked PAT, 1 point for a running PAT, 3 Points for filed goals.
All games will be played at a common location on Saturdays.
